This past weekend, Champions For Learning hosted our signature fundraising event, Night for Champions, where we gathered with patrons to celebrate and support education in Collier County. The partnership and generosity of our community are vital in our important work – serving as a catalyst for educational success by investing in Collier’s students and educators. Five exquisite and unique experiences, including Formula One Racing, a Napa Valley Wine Country Tour, and an Italian getaway, among others, were auctioned during the event, along with a robust fund-a-need auction. Champions For Learning is proud to announce that Night for Champions raised a record-breaking total of $840,00 for education in Collier County! Champions For Learning is committed to providing the tools and resources necessary for our students and educators to achieve success. Over 300 students are enrolled in our Student Programs, which are designed to equip and prepare students for their future learning and career goals. Eighty-nine percent of the students we serve come from households living at or below the national poverty line. Many are on track to be the first in their families to graduate from high school, let alone enroll in college.
Night for Champions guests had the amazing opportunity to hear from several students about their college aspirations during the event program. Former graduates of our programs also passionately told you their own stories and how they have soared to new heights – Prisca as a junior at Florida Atlantic University and Alaysha as a current CCPS educator. Our students have not allowed themselves or their future goals to be constrained by their situations; instead, they have used the transformative power of education to change the trajectory of their lives.
With your support, even more Champions For Learning students will be able to achieve their dreams after graduating from high school. You can be a true champion for learning by sharing our belief that education is everything.
