10th Grade

Guiding Students Towards Opportunity

Champions For Learning encourages eligible 10th grade students from public or independent high schools in Collier County to apply to our College and Career Preparation Program. This program enables students to learn about the various options that are available to them post-graduation, including college programs and career opportunities. Once accepted into the program, students enroll in either the college pathway or the technical pathway. Overall, the College and Career Preparation Program incorporates and emphasizes relevant skills and components that have been proven to be highly effective for students seeking either college readiness or career preparation: academic support, college and career planning, leadership development, college access, coaching, service learning, financial literacy and work experience.

If selected for the College and Career Preparation Program, enrolled students may be eligible to earn a Florida Prepaid Scholarship through two of our scholarship opportunities: Project STARS and In-Demand Careers.

Eligible students may also have additional scholarship opportunities offered by Champions For Learning in 12th grade. For students not participating in this program, Champions For Learning provides grade specific checklists and resource guides to assist them and their parents.
