The Education Foundation of Collier County–Champions For Learning is pleased to announce the 2023-2024 Collier County Teachers of Distinction. As the starting point for the Golden Apple Program, Champions For Learning invites each Collier County Public School to designate an outstanding educator and their best practice. Teachers of Distinction stand out among their colleagues – their ingenuity enables them to create and establish best practices that lead to definable and demonstrable student success in their classrooms. These educators are also willing to share their best practices with others and participate in peer learning and networking.
This year, 63 educators from 59 Collier County Public Schools have been selected as Teachers of Distinction. The complete list of teachers, their schools, and their best practices can be viewed below. Champions For Learning’s volunteer selection committee will meet and visit the classrooms of all Teachers of Distinction to learn about their best practices. After careful consideration, the committee will identify the educators who will become this year’s Golden Apple recipients. These educators along with all of the Teachers of Distinction, will be honored at The Golden Apple event Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Artis-Naples. Last night Champions For Learning hosted the Teacher of Distinction Reception at The Naples Grande. This kick-off event to the Golden Apple Program allowed for the Teachers of Distinction to meet one another, network, and learn more about the Golden Apple selection process.
