Fox4’s Ryan Kruger paid a visit to the Education Foundation of Collier County – Champions For Learning to discuss the record number of Classroom Grant request being submitted by Collier County teachers and the need for additional funding in Collier County classrooms.
Leslie Laughran is an art coach for Collier County Public Schools. She has been in the classroom for 27 years. Since 2002, Leslie has been applying for Classroom Grants through Champions For Learning. From the funding she has received, Leslie has been able to provide unique and cultural art experiences for her students that may not have been possible without the funding from Champions For Learning. Ryan sits down with Leslie and discusses how important funding received for classroom grants is.
