Fifth Third Bank Awards Grant for Champions For Learning’s Student Programs

(November 1, 2025) Fifth Third Bank awarded The Education Foundation of Collier County – Champions For Learning a $5,000.00 grant to support our Student Programs. Through their generous investment, Fifth Third Bank is helping more students in Collier County achieve their future learning and career goals. Their commitment to empowering students truly makes a difference, as many are the first in their families to pursue a college degree or technical career training. Through Champions For Learning’s Student Programs, students have opportunities to receive consistent encouragement from a volunteer mentor; participate in numerous workshops focused on academic planning, career exploration, and college enrollment; meet regularly with college and career success coaches to help guide future plans and prospects; tour college campuses; and receive a two-year scholarship that covers tuition. Through Collier County Public School’s High School Entrepreneurship Program, students can collaborate in teams to spark deeper learning, critical and creative thinking, and team and skill-building to develop a viable business start-up product or service.

“We are so grateful to Fifth Third Bank for their continued partnership and support of students who would otherwise struggle to navigate pathways to post-secondary education and job training,” said Nancy Mireles, Chief Development Officer of Champions For Learning. “By investing in students and fueling their potential, Fifth Third Bank is investing in the future of Collier County.”

Fifth Third has been a generous supporter of Champions For Learning over the past 27 years.
