Champions For Learning Announces Leadership Transition

The Education Foundation of Collier County – Champions For Learning announces the resignation of President and Chief Executive Officer Barbara Evans.

“The Board of Directors expresses deep appreciation for Barbara’s leadership and her commitment to advancing our mission,” said Martha Rozman, Board Chair. “With our strong board, experienced staff, and broad community partnerships, Champions For Learning is firmly positioned to continue its critical role as a catalyst for educational success in Collier County.”

Stephanie Viviano, Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed Interim CEO while the Board of Directors initiates a thoughtful and strategic search for permanent leadership.

This transition comes at a time of continued growth for the organization. Champions For Learning currently serves more than 700 students through direct and in-school programming, maintaining a 100% graduation rate among students in its direct service programs. In the 2023–2024 school year, the organization also awarded over $306,000 in classroom and educator grants across traditional public, charter, and private schools.

“Champions For Learning remains focused on its mission,” said Stephanie Viviano. “We are confident in the organization’s path forward and united in our commitment to supporting students, educators, and families across Collier County.”

All programs, both short term and long term, will continue without interruption. The Board of Directors is committed to ensuring a smooth transition while continuing to advance the organization’s mission.
