“Ensuring our young people have the skills and vision to reach their potential and become productive citizens supports the very fabric and quality of our community.”
– Beverly Feagin
Champions For Learning has many years of experience engaging community members and partners in support of the success of teachers and students, bringing the community together to support a culture of learning.
And, each year, community leadership in support of the mission are celebrated through the Heart of the Apple and annual Champions recognitions.
At a local and regional level, Champions For Learning is the backbone organization facilitating Future Ready Collier, a collaborative network of community members, organizations, businesses and schools working to ensure every child in Collier County is ready for Kindergarten, and every young person enters adulthood with a vision and plan to accomplish that vision. Future Ready Collier is the Collier partner for the regional FutureMakers Coalition.
At the statewide level, Champions For Learning is a leader in the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations, and has impacted more than 30 other counties. Working in this way with other education foundations has leveraged resources and knowledge across counties, and helps us improve and inform our own work in Collier.

"As a community, we have to place value on learning, and we have to support it actively. One way to do that is to create opportunities for educators to collaborate and share best practices. It’s pretty simple, the stronger we make our teachers, the stronger their students will be."
